EFFORTS

Once there was a wise and kind person whose name was RAJA. Once Raja npassed through a village where most of the crops had dried due to lack of rainfall for last two years.
The villagers had done a lot of Yagya, fasts, and other rites and rituals to please the god but there had been no results. The villagers had finally left themselves to their fates.
Raja felt sorry for their belief in myths and superstitions. Then one day he came to know that there was a river near the village. He advised villagers to build a tunnel through it so that they can have a permanent source of water. But the villagers thought that it is a tough task and they cannot do it. Raja did not lose hope and he started working on the idea alone.
Soon the project was near completion. On this the villagers realized that the work was not that tough and admitted their mistake and joined Raja. Soon the crowns of success were on their heads.
So, to achieve success, we must not lose our hope and confidence. We should keep putting in the efforts instead of getting frightened or disheartened by our previous failures.

I Promise Myself

To be so strong that nothing can disturb my peace of mind.
To talk health, happiness and prosperity to every person I meet.
To make all my friends that there is something worthwhile in them.
To look at the sunny side of everything and make my optimism come true.
To think only of the best, to work only for the best.
and to expect only the best.
To be just as enthusiastic about the success of
others as I am about my own..
To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the
                                     greater achievements of the future.
To wear a cheerful expession at all times and give a smile
to every living creature I meet.
To give so much time to improving myself that I
have no time to criticize others.
To be too large for worry, too noble for anger,
                                                        too strong for fear,
and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.
To think well of myself and to proclaim this fact to the world,
not in loud word, but in great deeds.
To live in the faith that the whole world is on my side,
so long as I am true to the best that is in me.

Don't Quit

When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh.
When care is pressing you down a bit.
Rest, if you must, but don't you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns
As every one of us sometimes learns.
And many a failure turns about
When he might have won had he stuck it out:
Don't give up though the pace seems slow-
You may succeed with another blow.
Success is failure turned inside out-
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt.
And you never can tell how close you are.
It may be near when it seems so far:
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit
It's when things seem worst that you must not quit.

Education

1) A book is like a garden carried in the pocket.
2) A little knowledge is a dangerous thing.
3) A teacher is better than two books.
4) Spare the rod, spoil the child.
5) The pen is mightier than the sword.
6) All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.
7) A fool sees not the same tree that a wise man sees.
8) A wise man makes his own decisions, an ignorant man follows the public opinion.
9) A wise man hears one word and understands two.
10) Better to light a candle than to curse the darkness.
